Sangiovese Oak Savanna 2017

This 2 acre high density block was grafted to a rare floral Sangiovese clone approximately eight years ago, as a nursery trial. Felipe & I share the block.

The 2017 Vintage produced wines that are tightly wound. They should be cellared for a long, delicious life as they unwind. Complexity will build & develop with age.

Aromatics: Black cherries, cranberry, dried herbs, lavender, white chocolate, white pepper, cinnamon spice.

Body: The velvet like richness in the mid-palate has a core of bright acidity from pomegranate and red cherry flavors. The tannins are refined and well integrated.
